Some things we never
stop
talking about.
Your Vin de Pays d’Oc
on your tick-tock tongue.
Tasting Napa sunshine
in Paris winters—
Chardonnay sky.
Tight lips,
acidic pens
mark judgment
blind.
Your own demise.
1976—
a very good year.
Lovely! What wine is this about? At least I am assuming it is about wine. You are a great poet!
It’s about the wine in your favorite movie, “Bottleshock.”
I knew I liked the poem for a reason!
